STEM Building Del Mar College

This project is designed to be built on a 96-acre tract at Rodd Field Road and Yorktown Boulevard. The design also includes facilities to teach basic core courses needed by transfer students, as well as developmental education and continuing education programs.Phase I of this project includes over 280,000 sq. ft. of facilities to include a Main Building & Library, STEM Building, Culinary Institute, and a Central Plant, in addition to 1200 parking spaces. STEM Building of about 100,915 sq. ft. housing the Architecture/Drafting Technology program and Biology, Biotechnology, and Biomanufacturing programs with contemporary teaching spaces, laboratories, and equipment, along with other STEM-related programs, including engineering.

Scope- Mechanical Piping

Project Synopsis:

Coordinated piping with other trades. Provided BIM 3D clash-free model and coordination services for Mechanical Piping for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 for  ease of laying out in the field. Produced detailed shop drawings of all three levels with elevations and dimensions for every item in the BIM mechanical piping system. Attend BIM coordination meeting on behalf of the client.
